Password on administrative share

I have a W2K Pro box on a P2P network. I can see it from the other machines (Win98) on the network, but when I try to connect to a share on the W2k box from a Win98 box it asks for a password on the IPC$ share (administrative). I did not indstall the box and I can not find what setting is wrong to correct this. Help>
