password problem

I’m having a problem where user changes their passwords anfd then their account gets locked out. Network is all Windows 2000 servers and clients. This onlt seams to happen if the user changes their password when prompted that your :password will expire in X number of days” But if they change their password by doing a Cntrl-Alt-Del and then select change password all is ok.
