Password problems

by bill.boyle . Updated 25 years ago

I have @home cable & a dial up account on my system. When I open MS Outlook, I have both accounts setup to drop mail.
However, my dial up account always prompts me for the password. The settings will not allow me to save the password for automatic login.
I remember reading something about uninstalling & reinstalling Client for Microsoft Network and creating the dial up account again that will allow the pasword to be saved.
Also, this procedure allowed the user to eliminate the Client logon dialog box from appearing on Windows boot up.
I have contacted both the dial up ISP (Sympatico) and the @Home (Rogers) service to get some technical assistance. Neither were able to offer a solution and suggested contacting each others service.
