PASSWORD PROMPTING

One of my computers, will not allow me to log in.It suddenly began to prompt me for a password which was never created in the first place.when i installed this client stand alone XP machine,I did not apply a password policy whatsoever,so it was a bit amazing to see this prompt.the PC is a standalone,XP professional.
