I have a problem when I open some but not all web sites. Access to many sites is OK with good speed and no gliches. Access to some sites however, including this Tech Republic one are causing me problems:
1. On any scroll bar, the lag between the mouse and anything happening makes it almost impossible to control. Selecting the arrow at the bottom of the scroll bar pulls the scroll bar down but only after a delayed time so that the motion is what I describe as a stutter.
2. If there is a form for entering data such as a login, there is a lag between entering data and it appearing on the sceen, eg type character, pause, cursor moves to where the next letter should be, pause, letter appears.
3. Some selection of links hang IE but the hand remains on screen and movable. This even occurs on my own site where I have a menu built around javascript.
On many sites, the performance is excellent.
I use a dial up connection. My ISP is Freeserve in the UK and interestingly the problems occur on their home page but not on some of their other pages.
I first encountered the problem on Saturday morning and it had never occurred previously.
I’m assuming no connection but my default home page keeps being reset to http://luckysearch.net/ydtfs/
I am at my wits end trying to sort this one so all help will be very gratefully appreciated.
