Hello everyone,
I am new to the Community and was wondering if anyone has had this problem on any machine or if they would have any insight. Ok I have Windows XP Pro running on a new Dell Dimension 8250. Every time I go to START –> RESTART, my computer starts the shutdown process but then hangs right before it hands off to the BIOS to reboot. BUT, if I go to START –> SHUTDOWN, my computer shuts down perfectly. Now I do not believe this is a windows problem because i booted to a DOS floppy, and when I hit CTRL-ALT-DEL, the same thing happened, it starts to reboot and then goes to a black screen. It seems to only be on a REBOOT. Anyone ever experience this? I find this quite odd.
Thanks,
Adam G.
