pc won’t boot

I have a huge problem. I have built a brand new pc and when I hit the power button, it won’t boot and the system speaker start beeping and doesn’t stop at all. I would appreciate any help/suggestions. The pc specs are as follows: Intel P4 2Ghz, Gigabyte GA-8VD667K Motherboard, Seagate 80Gb HDD, FDD, CD-ROM. Note that there are no other cards on the motherboard.
