PCI to SATA Controller

About to install PCI to SATA host adpater. It supports PCI bus at 66MHz. My bus is 133MHz. It is compliant with PCI Spec 2.2, Serial ATA Spec 1.0. Would I achieve better performance with a different PCI to SATA adapter?

Operating system is Windows 2000.
