PCMCIA CARD HANGS NT AFTER BOOTING

I have a Xircom PCMCIA card model REM56G-100 installed on a laptop running NT Workstation 4.0
This card is giving me many problems and now that I have it installed, NT hangs at the Windows Logon Screen. I take the card out and NT boots fine. Card in and NT hangs. I hear the “beep” when PCMCIA recognizes the card, but I don’t know why NT hangs. I need a super quick and effective response please.
