Peer Networking with Win 95 and Win ME

I have a Windows 95 peer to peer network. Everything was working fine until I added a couple of Windows ME machines to it. Now the Windows 95 machines can see the Windows ME machines and their network shares but cannot access any of the files in the network shares. Does anyone know what the problem could be? I am using ethernet and Netbuei.
