performance

I am running NT 4.0 SP 6 on my laptop. I notice that a process called CCMCore.exe frequently takes lots of CPU cycles (about 70 to 90%) and during that time the mouse & keyboard become unresponsive. This executable is in the dir c:\winnt\sms_temp,
i have tried reinstalling service pack 6.

Any help is appreciated.
