Permission Checker Object

I am using Win2000 Server for an Intranet. I am trying to use the PermissionChecker object in my web pages and can’t get it working. I have IIS 5. All users are using IE 5.5 browsers.

Questions:
1. is there a way to check to see if the object is installed on the server?
2. Is there a way to just reinstall that object?
3. I read that it comes with IIS 5, is that true?
