Persistant History Files

I have a problem with several URL’s which continue to function in the look-ahead feature of IE Explorer 6.0 with the SP! service pack installed. I have eliminated history and cache files at all levels. It is only 3 websites of dubious origin that do this. I have also run Lavasoft’s Addaware, which did detect several programs, but eliminated them. Any ideas?
