Phonless internet

Does the technology exist to access the internet without using a landline telephone or cable? I do not want a phone line (for very personal reasons so don’t ask!) but would love to connect my PC to the internet again. If I could connect my mobile to my PC could I access the internet that way? Is there an ISP that covers this kind of request? Surely if I have thought of this, people who know how to make these kinds of machines will have thought of it too. What thoughts??
