Please Help!! Java on Palm V?

I am trying to get web access on a someones palm V. I have Palm OS 3.3 with Avantgo 4.2. Is there any way to get javascript to work with this. I have to get access to an e-mail web site that won’t allow me to view it until I have enabled this on the Palm. Is there another way to get to this mail if java cannot be supported byt this?
