Popup window after mapping in Explorer

Within Explorer, if you map a drive another popup Explorer window appears showing you the share name and its sub-directories.

I know you can hold down the CTRL key to eliminate the second popup Explorer window. My question is, how can you completely eliminate this second window? Is there a registry key that will do this?
