PowerPoint Presentation Pointer

Hey all, I have a PowerPoint Presentation Pointer that an Exec wants to use. It consists of a USB receiver and a pen like laser pointer and Infra Red remote control for presentations. I’ve plugged in the USB receiver and seen the devices being loaded in the Device Manager. It loads a HID Mouse and other HID devices, they all look ok. When I try to use the remote nothing happens. I’ve replaced the batteries, the laser pointer works just fine, but nothing from the remote. I’ve found a company that sells these things but they have no support.
