Preferred Server with logon scripts?

Within our network, we have multiple NT 4.0 BDCs. Is there a way that when a user logs into the domain, you can force the validation to be brought from a certain pool of particular BDCs (or the PDC)? I find that occasionally at various sites, theyare being validated from a BDC that is located miles away, and not from the BDC that is local. This is becoming a problem with our logon scripts because often users are validated by a BDC that doesn’t hold their particular logon script.
