Print in Windows 98 from Dos Application

We have a older accounting program that was written for dos, but we are running the program in a dos window in Windows 98 (Computer B). Previously Our HP4100 Printer was connected to two computers (A & B) with a Belkin Auto Parallel Switch, which was working ok but we had some data lose due to a long parallel cable on computer (B). I have since installed nic cards in both computers (A & B) and into a simple hub. Now when we print from the dos program in a dos window in windows 98 (Computer B) the print job does not send till we exit the program. HP tech. Support is out of options. Note: the Printer is physically connected to (Computer A) and shared. (Computer B) uses the share on (Computer A) to print. Both drivers are installed on the computers.
