Print Notification

Currently all my windows 2000 clients get a message that print job xxxxx printed sucessfully. I also get a notice in the event viewer. This is annoying and completely uneccesary for our needs. How do I disable print notifications?
The printer in question is a Lexmark 2455 if thats relevant but this seems more a function of NT.
