print on home network with work notebook

I have a client with a desktop and a notebook, desktop XP Home, notebook XP Pro. Notebook is work notebook desktop home. When I start notebook I have to log into domain with password. I set up printer on desktop and shared on home network,was able to print from both nb and desktop. client said he got a error and reset the Linksys BEFSR41 router now cant print. The file and print sharing is installed and tcp/ip is installed. Do I have to set this up to be on the p2p network at home so it does not log onto the domain from work?
