printer access on network

the machine I use at work previously had os 97. At that time everyone could print to my printer. Now that my os has been upgraded to xp os there is still one person who cannot print to it. This person’s pc is used as a server. It also runs 97. The “IT” department has looked at this and cannot seem to find the problem. I have checked everything myself and cannot figure it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated
