Printer and event log

I have a print server setupwith about 8 network printers queues setup. Is there a way to disable the event log from tracking every print that occurs, I am having to empty the event log about every other day. I have checked auditing for the indiviual printers and nothing is setup. What am I missing to diasble this recording.
