printer as “not available”

Windows 2000 user on novell 4.11 network. Only user with win2k on that segment. Other win2k users, on different segments, are not having problems with printing. Users on his segement, running win98 are, not having problems. I have installed win2k sp1 also.
P.S.
Printer is attached via Intel Netport(New).
