Printer information prpblem – (VB-Word)

I have a vb6 application that uses microsoft word to print a document. The first time I run the app, it works fine. On the second time, I get the following error:”Problem getting printer information from the printer”-(error 484). The printer properties can no longer be accessed immediately after Word writes the document. I’ve seen the standard error information from MSDN. None of these are the problem. (printer is installed, no paper jam, etc.). When I reboot, the problem is corrected. Any help would greatly appreciated. Thanks.
