Printer install problem

After formatting and re-installing WinXP i find I can not re install my Canon BJ200 Printer.
Following Messages appear. ” An error occured during the installation of the device.” or ” The specified port is unknown.” I have changed Printer cable to no avail. The Device Manger informs that tha LPT! is working correctly. I am lost!
