Printer missing in Excel

I have a network printer (HP4050) that is installed on a Win NT machine. This printer is accessible from Word or Outlook or anything else, except MS Excel. When you go to print from Excel, this printer is not an option. I have tried reinstalling Office, Excel individually, Reapplying Service Pack 5, Installing service pack 6, deleting and adding back the printer, and none of this has worked….any ideas??
