I have a printer that is causing headaches. The printer is a HP Laseerjet 2100. It is installed to a client machine with windows 95. The printer is being shared in the network. The problem is that it does not print 3 times out of five a job is sent to the spooler.
I tried reinstalling the printer, disconnecting and reconnecting the share, deleting and recreating the port, inspected the configuration for any conflict and still, we have to press the reset button in order to print a job that has been spooled already.
Sometimes, I am getting a message saying that it is out of paper when I just refilled the tray.
I have tried all the tricks in the book and follow the troubleshooting process. I only have to change the cable and test the printer for defects.
Any suggestions?
