Printer Sharing Access

For some reason I am unable to give printer access to another computer within my workgroup. The printer is currently shared, connected to a usb port to my computer, and the networked computer is able to detect and install the drivers for the printer. After installation, the printer’s description notes “Access denied, unable to connect” Is there something in particular I have to do to give special permissions?
