Set up an HP officejet on an XP machine. Shared the printer. Found the printer on 2 Vista 32 bit laptops and conected to the printer fine. Printed test pages fine. Now when I try to open up the priter window it freezes and or takes about 10 minutes to load and find the printers. This issue is happening on both laptops that I set up. The setup was as simple as I stated in the begining. Didnt mess with any settings on the Vista Laptops. Please help!!! Never had this issue before. Think it is a Vista issue.
HP said there was no need for vista drivers but I am not sure if it is a HP issue. When you go to the Control Panel/ Printers and try to open up the print window it freezes and takes about 10 minutes to load the window? I think there is a glitch in Vista’s print connectors. I have stopped and started the Printspooler with no luck. The only thing that I did to the Vista laptops besides right click the printer in Network and hit connect is that I mapped both laptops to the C drive on the XP machine.
