Printer won’t share

I have a computer at work that had a shared printer…until yesterday, when it decided it no longer wanted to be shared. Now, if I try to share it again, I get a message saying the printer settings could not be saved. MS Technet does have an article about this issue, but, although the symptoms are the same, their cause and therefore fix are not the problem/answer. (article 185792) (The comment field is not even CLOSE to 256 char.’s – maybe 10 char’s) I’ve reinstalled the drivers, logged in as the user and as administrator: think I got all the basics. Anything I haven’t tried???
