Printing from Terminal Services Client

I have two Win2000 TS Clients running of on VXL boxes and they are setup right. One client has a HP 5L Deskjet and the other a HP Deskjet 930c both connected to the local machine. Drivers are loaded on the Win2000 server and both printers are added via the wizard on the clients machine. On one of the client the printer works when setup on the PRN1 port that corresponds to the terminal, but when shut down it is dropped and disappears from the server and the local machine. On the other machine with the 930c, same thing happens but will not print from the M$ Office applications, but will print in notepad etc. Tried a variety of things on client side but cannot get them to stay. Can there only be one default printer on TS or can the be a number on TS and set default on Client. Help please!
