Printing output changes

I have two DOS-based programs that, until recently, had printed their respective reports correctly. Lately, when the program user prints the report (using the command for “narrow” report format, it just comes out normal. This is occuring on different programs, different computers. The only common element is the Novell SBS 6.0 server the programs reside on. The reports go to different print ques and different printers. Any help would be appreciated.
