Problem in Folder.Htt files

hi brothers. I have a problem that in my windows 2000 there are a large no. of Folder.htt and desktop.ini files created. My friends told me that this is a virus. But it is not detecting by any software.When i have opened this file in notepad folder.htt, there are many strange characters and scripts in it. Pleaes help my that how may i recover this.
