Problem on Arcserve with databse manager

Hi, There is a little problem I have got with Arcserve manager. First of all when I fire up Arcserve, it comes up with a message that says failed to start database engine and some of the features will not be available. This started happening when I installed this particular patch from this website http:/support.cai.com/Download/patches/musthave/asnt65.html

Now there are jobs on there which I have stopped but now they just hang there. I don’t know if this is a problem with the database manager.

Can someone pls help.
