Problem when changing IP address on PDC

We have just installed a new network and it has forced me to change the IP address on the PDC. The problem is that after rebooting the PDC it thinks it’s a BDC and can’t find the PDC(!) to load the user names etc. If I then change the adress back tothe old address it boots up fine.
Anybody have any ideas?
