Problem with Additional DC

I have a windows 2000 setup with ADS installed. I am using 2 DC in my domain for load sharing and aproximately 200 clients. Problem is that when my 2nd DC startup every morning it takes whole day to display login screen , I mean to say it does’t display logon screen and stay on Preparing Network Connection always, but when I unplug the network cable from its NIC it displayed logon screen. Please friends tell me that what is this problem and how can I troubleshoot it?
