Problems with 2000 Auto Logon

We have recently rolled out 5 machines with Win 2000, with auto logon enabled. Of the 5 3 have somehow reset the registry settings and request a logon.
Is there any known issues with the 2000 auto login, or is there anyway to stop this from re-occuring.
