Problems with a Belkin g router

I have a belkin wireless G router 54mbps it is connected to two sony vaios 1 desktop 1 laptop I use a ppoe connection my desktop runs fine ( it is hard wied to the router but the wireless on my loptop always losses conectivity this can be repaired by the windows repair network but the problem soon happens again I have no idea what to do the laptop never losses the connection and the router and laptop are set to the same channel
