Problems with software installation.

by firmapost . Updated 23 years, 1 month ago

Hello, here i go.
I have a client that has a Windows 2003 server with active directory installed. The clients in the network are windows 2000 Professional computers. The problem is when is try to install a software on the client computers. (When they are logged into the domain). The software is called VISMA and has to be installed on the client and the procesing is done in the server it is a CRM software. It has to make a msde database connection to the server. One time installation. But i am unable to install the software it ends with a error that does not say anything 🙁 Just press ok.

I am able to install the software if i log on to the domain as an administrator, but it has to be installed using the users profile Security y know.
😉 . Making the user a member of the administrators group does not do the trick.

What could be the reason ? It could also be a setting on the local computer right? You see disabling the GPO and not prosessing the GPO does not help either… Please help
