Proceedure entry point kernel32.dll

My Wiindows XP Pro was running good for awhile. Now I go to RUN and enter msconfig, I get “The proceedure entry point reinitializecriticalsection could not be located in the dynamic link library kernel32.dll”. Then the System Configuration Utility screen appeasr after I close the error message window. One other program does this, but with msconfig it appears right away.
