I was wondering if someone might have someone might offer an idea of what they think is going on with this computer. Below is the issues it’s having.
Was on the internet and computer shut itself off (I was having some what I think must have been video card issues before. The screen would flicker off and on, screen distorted at times, black lines appear). I turned off the computer for a period of time and when I tried to turn it back on NOTHING.
The power button just flickers for a split second, the fan trys to come on but can’t and it just made a click sound 1x.
I have unplugged everything from the motherboard except things needed to start the computer. After I do this it just sits there and clicks one after another. Even after plugging it all back in it still does it.
I have replaced the CPU,External power supply (AC adaptor) and the internal power inverter. Still nothing but clicks. However when you unplug the power inverter from the motherboard the computer will come on (fan spins and computer boots up) but there is no images on the computer screen.
I am thinking it’s probably a motherboard issue but found it strange that you can unplug the power inverter and the machine boots. I have two of them and tried both and both do the same thing.
Any imput would be great !
