Profile Corrupt on Win2K

I attempted to sign onto my Win2K as administrator and was informed that my profile was corrupt. The computer had frozen previously while shutting down when I was installing a printer. Unfortunately I have lost all my files in the my documents folder and my personal favorites in Internet Explorer as Win2K signs me on with a temporary profile each subsequent time. Is there any way I can retrieve my files and/or get my permanent profile back as administrator?
