Promoting BDC to PDC; Users-No DC Found

HI,

When I promote our BDC to a PDC (Both are NT4/SP6a) users on the network get a “No DC Found” when they login. Looking in Server Manager shows that the old PDC is now a BDC and vice-versa. We are using an LMHOST file to preload our servers since they all have static IPs… I thought this was the problem because it specifies which address is the PDC but after updating the file logins were still failing. Does anyone have any suggestions or have seen something similar? I didnt find anythingin TechNet about it. I’ve been leaning towards a possible problem with static entries in WINS or LMHOSTS but havent found anything…. If anyone could shed some light on this it would be GREATLY appreciated!!!!! Thanks!
