Properly Setting up Backoffice 2000

by cjenkins . Updated 24 years, 10 months ago

Previously we were running everything in a NT4 TS setup on a single server. We have been trying since July to get a Win2K domain up and running on three (3) separate servers. We contracted the installation and migration out to Local company that after over 100 hours, still fail to get us up and running without SAM, DNS and FRS errors in the event logs. The original DC (TS2) bogged so the DCpromo’ed and moved the schema and FSMO roles to another server (TS3). We burned down that server (TS2)and rebuilt it while better load balancing the applications (bringing a third server online); still errors. Today we unDCpromo’ed the original machine (TS2) and renamed it to (Citrix), then DCpromoed it back into the domain and still get all the SAM errors.

Any ideas, other then burning all three servers down and starting fresh? I don’t wan to burn down TS3 as it’s our SQL server and have a lot of work already tied up into it.

Thanks,
