Pros and Cons to Administrator rights.

Our users are currently set up with Power User rights through Novell. Our problem is that the users are consistently needing to install software, which require administrator rights. Some software requires the user to have administrator rights just to operate the application. Our IT staff is trying to decide if we should give all the users administrator rights or not. What are the Pros and Cons to the users having administrator rights?
