I have a W2K domain with a separate server running Proxy 2.0. We have a full T1 connection going through a Cisco 1720 router. The router is connected to the Proxy and the Proxy is connected to the network. Currently the Cisco Router is not acting asthe DCHP server; the domain controller is handling the IP address.
Internet filtering software that we have requires Microsoft Proxy; therefore that is why we are still using Proxy.
Here is my question; I need to give access to an outside vendor to one of my local machines using PC Anywhere. How do I open up the channels to allow him access to that machine? How would he connect to the local machine if it has an internal IP address?
I guess I could disconnect the Proxy and hook this machine directly to the router, but that would take the rest of the place off line. I would like to try and avoid this.
