pure virtual function

I have a user that has recently installed a new HP Color Laserjet 8550 (attached to LPT1).
Now, when trying to open a particular word.doc from a cd, a message box appears with “pure virtual function called…..hpbs4010.drv”.

Following this the user is returned to the windows desktop.

O/S = win98se

Any suggestions?
