I just bought a motherboard on ebay. It is an Abit KT7-RAID Socket A motherboard. This is a raid capable Abit KT133 board. It can handle: Processor
– AMD Socket A Duron (100MHz FSB) up to 950MHz
– AMD Socket A Athlon (100MHz FSB) up to 1.4GHz
Chipset
– VIA KT133/VIA 686B
I wanted to know if I have to buy a processor that is K7 or will a regular Duron 850 Mhz processor be fine.

I am upgrading my computer and just needed to buy a new motherboard and processor because I am running a P1 right now. I was able to pick up the motherboard dirt cheap and want to find the right processor for it. I am looking at price more than speed so I don’t need anything more than the duron specs. maybe even just 750 Mhz would do. Please help!
