question using 2 routers

I have small lan. Im running win2kserver active direcory. have mix of w98 and xp clients. I have cable modem and router to share internet and have router as dhcp server. I want to add a wireless acces point router to use with laptops and remote pc son site. When I connect the wirless router do give it static ip address or have it get ip dress from first router.. Not sure how to set second router.. thanks for any help..
